Coffee ShopOur spacious Coffee Shop is much frequented by patients and visitors alike.Tea, coffee and snacks are served in the Coffee Shop from 10.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.30am to 8.00pm at weekends. Daily newspapers are also available. Vending machines provide soft drinks, sweets and cigarettes. Visitors and patients are reminded that the sale or use of alcoholic drink in the hospital is strictly forbidden. PharmacyThe Pharmacy, located on the ground floor, stocks a large range of toiletries. Medicated products must be prescribed by the doctor.The Pharmacy can supply discharge or outpatient prescriptions for patients with private prescriptions, Cluain Mhuire prescriptions or the Drug Payments Scheme. Aromatherapy/ Massage therapyAppointments can be made at the Occupational Therapy Department. Internet accessInternet access is available in the Occupational Therapy Department. AdvocacyThe resource of a patient advocate is available to all patients within the hospital. Contact details are available from the clinical nurse manager or your primary nurse. ChaplaincyThere are resident Catholic Chaplains and a chaplaincy team available. Arrangements can be made for patients of other denominations to be visited by their clergy. St. Brigid’s Church (Church of Ireland) is situated about 100 meters from the hospital entrance.Their clergy provide a chaplaincy service and visit the hospital frequently. ChapelMass is celebrated in the hospital at: 5.00pm on Monday to Friday 10.00am Saturday 10.00am on Sunday Sunday Mass is celebrated in the wards for patients who are unable to go to the chapel. CCTVIn the interest of your safety and security CCTV, where identified by appropriate signage, is in operation within the hospital. Useful InformationSocial Welfare Disability Certificates: You are entitled to benefit from the Department of Social Welfare if you are a subscriber to RSI. Disability certificates are available from the Accounts Office.They will be issued weekly and forwarded to the Department of Social Welfare on request. Fire DrillFire drills are conducted regularly. If one is scheduled during your stay, you will be advised on the proper safety procedure including evacuation of the ward or hospital. Your attention is drawn to the Evacuation Procedure displayed in each area.
