Saint John of God Hospital Outpatient Service, incorporating the Dublin County Stress Clinic, is a consultant psychiatric service which aims to provide GPs and referring medical personnel with easy access to psychiatric assessment for those patients deemed to need urgent or general psychiatric assessment but who do not require immediate inpatient care. Treatment is provided for a broad range of stress and anxiety related disorders.
The Outpatient Services also include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Anxiety and Depression
- Psychological Services for Healthy Relationships and Sexuality
- Psychiatry of Later Life
- The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®)
- Health Promotion Nurse Specialist Service
The clinic is under the direction of Prof. Jennifer Hoblyn, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director and the consultant psychiatrist based in the clinic is Dr Maria Romanos.
