Our nursing staff will always explain the specific reasons for any such action to ensure transparency and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your personal belongings, please feel free to discuss them with a member of your multidisciplinary team. We are here to support you and ensure your peace of mind.

For the safety and comfort of all patients, certain items are strictly prohibited within the hospital premises. These include, but are not limited to:

  • All alcoholic beverages

  • Candles

  • Electric blankets

  • Hot water bottles

  • Incense burners

  • Irons

  • Kettles

  • Medicines or drugs obtained outside the hospital

Additionally, any items that could pose a risk to the well-being of others should not be brought into the hospital. We kindly ask for your cooperation in following these guidelines to help us maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone..

Electronic Devices and Connectivity

Staying Connected

We understand the importance of staying connected during your hospital stay. Internet access is available in designated areas such as the Seomra Eolais (Information Room), the Pomegranate Café, and the IT Room within the Occupational Therapy Department. In some inpatient suites, the use of electronic devices, including portable TVs, tablets, and laptops, may be allowed or restricted based on the advice of your multidisciplinary team. For specific details regarding electronic device usage in your suite, please consult the nursing staff.

Group and Therapy Sessions

To ensure a focused and uninterrupted experience during group and therapy sessions, we kindly ask that you switch off your mobile phones and other electronic devices. This practice helps create a conducive environment for healing and therapy.

Privacy, Dignity, and Social Media Guidelines

Respecting Privacy and Dignity

At our hospital, your privacy and dignity are of utmost importance. We are committed to protecting these values throughout your stay. To safeguard the privacy of all patients, the use of cameras and camera phones is strictly prohibited within the hospital. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Social Media Usage

While we recognise the importance of social media as a communication tool, we kindly request that you refrain from posting pictures or videos of your stay on social media platforms. It is crucial to respect the confidentiality of fellow patients, staff, and visitors who may not have given their consent to be included in such posts. Remember, once shared, your message could potentially reach thousands of people, and it may not be possible to remove it permanently.
